The television series as a strategy for the development of reflective thinking in the teaching of professional ethics

Abstract
This qualitative study is exploratory and descriptive examining the experiences of students and professors in an Ethics course. The study seeks to analyze the impact on teaching and learning professional ethics by using situations presented in TV series. Students and professors were asked to reflect on their analysis of the situations and on their learning and teaching experience. Preliminary results from this study include the students and professor discourse about the importance of considering personal and human values. In addition, on the practical side, participants consider the reflective thinking as a strategy for decision making. Regarding TV series, participants describe the popularity of them which can encourage the learning environment in order to present common situations that promote personal reflection.
