Abstract
The media provide a framework for interpreting reality to citizens, whose consumption has, consequently, direct effects on the attitudes of citizens, as a mechanism for strengthening convictions. This paper analyzes the role of women VOX voters in the last general elections of November 2019 as media consumers, in contrast to the consumption habits of men. It seeks to analyze whether there are really differences around both the media they choose and their use of them. That is why, from the data of the Post-electoral Study of the General Elections in Spain, November 2019, conducted by the Political Research Team of the University of Santiago de Compostela (EIP-USC), seeks to identify differences in media consumption patterns and motivations between women and men far right voters. The use of this study is justified by the elections in which VOX considerably strengthens its presence in the Spanish Parliament.
