Contemporary Brazilian teledramaturgy: ruptures, territoriality and territoriality of meanings
Main Article Content
Abstract
Television is present in 96% of Brazilian households. In this context, serial fiction occupies 19% of the programming grid of the main broadcasting stations in Brazil, fictional narratives are a means of expression and significant significance in Brazilian culture, even at the speed with which digital media They reshape ways of communicating. Thus, teledramaturgy is constituted as the "drama of recognition" (Martín-Barbero, 2009, p. 306). Our attention is focused on the changes that have occurred in the Brazilian teledramaturgy and the possibilities provoked by the reconfigurations of meaning. We observe the new experiences that emerge in the broadcaster of hegemonic television in the area, TV Globo. To reflect on this, we adopt as a theoretical-methodological contribution the semiotics of culture, basing the discussion on the concept of explosion by Lotman (1999), who thinks the sudden ruptures of meaning that lead to the deterritorializations of senses, above all, in Relation to the aesthetic form and narrative paths in relation to the time, as the new ways of complexification of the histories of fiction. We consider the productions of the directors: Luiz F. Carvalho and José L. Villamarim, who believe that they make telefiction that, in a timely manner, offers the viewer unpredictable elements that can be associated with the process of chained explosions. It is with the tensionamientos and the noises that new senses can be generated, moments in which the language assumes the creative function.
